Why is so much of my speaking on calling?

Because…

The Matter is Urgent.

There is nothing greater you will ever do than to complete the work for which you were born.  Ask just about anyone today, who they are, and they will tell you what they do for work, or what their job is.  Most people not only  define themselves by their job, they also get their sense of value and worth from it.

Having a job is good but you were made for so much more than the cubicle you sit in,  your job descriptions, or annual performance ratings.  You were created by a great God for two great reasons: (1) to know Him and, (2) to carry out the purpose for which He created you.  Your education, natural abilities and experiences were given to you not just to make money, but to use them along with you spiritual gifts to execute your work honorably and with excellence.

Thinking About Your Calling

Why Calling Matters.

Calling isn’t just about you.  First and foremost  it is about God.  He is after all, The One Who Calls.   He called creation into existence:  “God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day,” Genesis 1:5.   God also calls those He created, as revealed in the following scriptures : “And He said to them, ‘Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men,’ ” Matthew 4:18; and “By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going.” Hebrews 11:8.

Those who hear and heed God’s call are changed forevermore. Ultimately, God’s call is a call to Love –  to love Him and to love others. Surrender to this call often leads to one who works, serves, and gives their very best.  Why?  When someone understands that they are alive for a specific purpose, boldness, color and intention is inherently in all they do.

I speak about calling because it is a life changer.

The success of a business, church, organization, or team depends on others giving the best they have.  Encouraging, educating and equipping others to live their best lives, is my calling.  My Live Your Calling presentations include with fun, truth, facts and inspiration and will help others practically discover their calling.
