Obey and Believe

If someone were to tell me that I could (I know I will get letters and comments about what I am about to say, but you know me…I just have to be transparent…) operate on four to five hours of sleep, I would have thought they were, well, crazy!

Ever since I started working on Un-Shame on You, The Conference and The Play, I have had miracle dosages of energy and stamina and prayers e-mailed to me at just the right time.

The ONLY reason I would dare work the hours I have been, is because there has been confirmation, after confirmation that this work is the right work at the right time.  And I believe this is the case because I finally learned to completely, utterly and joyously surrender to believing with total abandon, EVERY promise God ever made – – not just the easy ones.

I stopped saying no to the things I thought were too big, I didn’t deserve, could cause me to fail, succeed, or were just uncomfortable.  Once I began saying “Yes, Lord,” everything about how I spend my time changed.

I wish there were some way I could get you to understand the importance of not just believing in the promise of God, but to BE-LIVING them.

Every day we live our lives we have an opportunity to tell our story and live our calling.  Paul reminds us of this very fact in Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
